Dialysis experience is not required; we will train you!

• No work on Sundays, we are closed!
• Operational Hours: MWF 5:15 AM - 5:30 PM
• Schedule expectations: Work 3 - 4 shifts per week, alternating every other Saturday
• Shift expectations: Shifts are usually 10 - 14hrs at a time

LPN Job Functions In Our Chronic Out-Patient Facilities

• Performs patient assessment of vital signs and all other parameters of ESRD patients
• Cannulates patients to perform safe and effective vascular hemodialysis
• Reviews dialysis orders, notes general physical and mental condition of patients through observations and interview
• Provides data to determine observations and interview, provides data to determine compliance to dietary or medication regimen; documents observations appropriately
• Collects patient data including but not limited to assessing and monitoring status of vascular accesses, reviews lab work and patient assessments
• Seeks guidance when levels are out of “normal” range for ESRD patients
• Knows and complies with DaVita policies and procedures in accordance with the state and federal regulations for patient care and services (Medicare, OSHA, HIPAA, or other governing policies)

LPN Job Requirements

• Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice required
• Current CPR certification required
• IV certification required if required by state regulations
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system
• BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation
• Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required; functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire required
